HEY LEGENDS,

Do we still need a rock scene?

Does it need to be rebuilt?

What happened to it?

How should we fix it?

Are we so addicted to staying home and sitting on our phones? Have we killed it?

What would make you congregate in droves?

Is rock dead?

I'll try not to write an essay on this but it's hard to capture everything in a couple of lines.  Here goes.

Covid and lock downs have taught a lot of people how to live indoors.  You can work from home (don't need to trapse into the city), you can listen to music at home (no need to see a band), there's netflix and others (you don't need to go to the movies), there's Uber Eats (you don't need restaurants), there's even online dating.  Nothing compares to actually getting out there but there is all this stuff at our finger tips. It's way too easy.

I think we need a "Life, get out there" campaign similar to the "Life be in it" of the 70's and 80's.  It would be so good for people's mental health and for the LOCAL economy to get people out and about back in the real world.

I've tried to engage the union and the federal and state governments on this but no one is interested.  So any thoughts on how one get's a grass roots campaign going I'd be up to work on it.

If we have more people out and about, then venues have  more money coming in and more demands on them to provide entertainment and this in turn will lead to more possibilities for bands of all genres.
