I'm in an indie/punk band looking for a female lead singer who can play some guitar. We are located in Northcote. We're all in our 30's-40's.

Our influences include Slint, Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, Unwound and Life Without Buildings.

If you're interested I can send you some demo's we have a bunch of songs written so far.

Rock drummer recently moved from Melbourne to Sunny Coast looking to connect with like minded Musos and bands. Had been playing regularly with many bands - Rock Covers, RHCP Tribute, Faith No More Tribute, Soundgarden/Audioslave Tribute, Defryme and more. Most recently had been putting together a 90's rock show before making the move. I also owned and ran Pony Music (large rehearsal and recording facility and music school and retail store for nearly 25 years). I'm also an audio engineer and mixed a few thousand shows. Have great gear (acoustic kit and a Roland kit for quieter shows). Living in Mountain Creek and finally settled up here wanting to start playing again. Looking for regular covers/tributes at this stage. Let's chat...

I know we discussed this concept over many beers at many gigs over the past 8 or so years! Congratulations for getting it up and running again. Hopefully many of the old Melband crew who are still playing or involved with music will jump on board and revive what was once a great tool for the music community.
I've just posted a Drummer Available ad in the QLD section so hopefully can find something decent up here soon.

Hi, I'm a keys player currently in an 80's band playing regular gigs. Looking at starting another project with the bass player from the same band. We have a concept in mind (cover band), and we are currently looking for a drummer, guitarist and vocalist to complete the line up. This is a new project and will require rehearsals and some work to get it off the ground. If you don't have the time to put in the effort, then this will not be for you. We are based in the Southeast from Dandenong to Lang Lang and we will be rehearsing on a Sunday at one of the studios in the area, either The Pony in Hallam or The Band Booth in Dandenong. We have songs and set lists ready to go. Be aware we do not have gigs booked at this time for this project. We are NOT looking for someone who thinks they are God's gift to their profession. Just someone who loves music, getting together and going out to play live and more importantly doesn't take life too seriously. The member needs to have decent gear and age, and gender are not factors in our decision. The both of us are mature musicians who have been around for a while.
